REVIEW:

VERDICT:

Xiaomi Pad 6 boasts a sleek and premium build. The combination of a glass front (protected by Gorilla Glass 3), an aluminum frame, and an aluminum back gives it a sturdy yet elegant feel. The tablet's dimensions of 254 x 165.2 x 6.5 mm make it thin and lightweight, weighing just 490g. It's comfortable to hold and carry around, making it ideal for extended periods of use.

Display and Design:

  • The 11.0-inch IPS LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate is a treat for media consumption.
  • The colors are vibrant, and the high refresh rate ensures smooth scrolling and fluid animations. The inclusion of HDR10 and Dolby Vision support enhances the visual experience even further.
  • However, it would have been great to see an OLED panel instead of an IPS LCD, as it would have offered deeper blacks and richer contrast.

Design of the Xiaomi Pad 6 is very awesome. It is in-line with the company’s new design language that places a square-ish camera module on the top corner of the back panel. The camera module design is very similar to the one we saw earlier this year on the Xiaomi 13 Pro, but here we only get a single camera. The back panel has a certain brushed aluminium finish, which gives the tablet a premium in-hand feel. Xiaomi has launched it in two colors - Graphite Grey and Mist Blue. We got the Graphite Grey for our review and as much as I hate to say it, the in-hand feel is very similar to the Apple iPad Air.

CAMERA:

The camera setup on the Xiaomi Pad 6 is decent, it's not the highlight of the device. The 13 MP main camera and 8 MP selfie camera produce satisfactory results, but they are not exceptional by any means. However, if you primarily use the tablet for media consumption and productivity, the camera performance might not be a significant concern.

Performance and software:

  • Qualcomm SM8250-AC Snapdragon 870 5G chipset and an octa-core CPU, the tablet delivers reliable performance for day-to-day tasks and gaming. The Adreno 650 GPU ensures smooth graphics rendering, making it enjoyable to play demanding games like Real Flight Sim.
  • Heavy-hitting performance backs the Snapdragon 870 5G, including our upgraded Qualcomm® Kryo™ 585 CPU and the ultra-fast Qualcomm® Adreno™ 650 GPU—delivering superb on-device experiences quickly and efficiently. And the Qualcomm® Sensing Hub provides always-on contextual awareness, so every interaction is smarter and more seamless.
  • Coupled with up to 8GB RAM LPDDR 5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, read, write, draw, work play without any bottleneck.

Battery life and charging:

The battery life of the Xiaomi Pad 6 is commendable, thanks to its 8840 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery. It easily lasts through a day of moderate to heavy usage, and the 33W wired charging ensures quick recharging times.

Final verdict:
